Teachers at the Malkerns Teacher/Coaches workshopTwenty two teachers from schools in and around Malkerns attended the Teacher/Coaches workshop held at the Vondo's Rugby Club ground in Malkerns. Head Development Coach Mario De Sousa welcomed the teachers and thanked them for taking time to attend the workshop.
Passing practiceSeventeen teachers attended the Rugby Teacher/Coaches workshop held at the Manzini Club field home of the Manzini Rhino's. SKRUM CEO welcomed the teachers and thanked them for giving up their valuable time to attend the Rugby workshop. The Mahlanya Primary team with their donated kitAfter winning the Vondo's Inter Schools Tournament played last week in Malkerns, Mahlanya Primary School received a Rugby kit donation from the Swaziland Rugby Union. The donation was made after the Mahlanya Primary Schools training session yesterday. Head Teacher, Mrs. Hlangettwa was on hand to receive the donation and thanked the Rugby Union for all their help and assistance with Rugby at her school.
Gilgal High School girlsTuesday saw the first joint Coaching Day held by the SKRUM Coaches. The Head Teachers of Gilgal Primary and High Schools asked if their schools could have a Coaching Day together as they were keen to get the game of Rugby going at their respective schools as soon as possible. So the four SKRUM Coaches made the decision to go for it.
Malindi DlaminiThe SKRUM Coaches welcomed back Malindi Dlamini to the SKRUM Programme today. Malindi who had left SKRUM early last year to study Sports Administration returned today with a smile and hand shakes all round. SKRUM CEO Michael Collinson said he was delighted with Malindi's decision to rejoin SKRUM after he had finished his studies.
Our first UK event is taking place on 12th April (Easter Sunday) at Esher Rugby Club. SKRUM is hosting a Touch Rugby Tournament for anyone who wants to get involved. 7 aside/ Rolling substitutes/ half pitch/ relaxed tournament. All ages from 17 years old.
We will be providing Sunday roast after the games and the Heineken Cup will be played on the big screens throughout the afternoon.

Inkanyeti SchoolThe SKRUM Coaches today visited their 200th school. Mr. Martin Mashaba the Head Teacher of Inkanyeti School welcomed the SKRUM Coaches to his school and was surprised to hear Inkanyeti was the 200th school the SKRUM Programme has visited. Inkanyeti School is situated in the City of Manzini and caters for both Primary and Secondary school pupils.
Bookham Football Club included SKRUM in their recent charity auction. Bob Elcome from the club said that they were "pleased to help a very worthy and valid cause". The auction raised £365 for SKRUM, proving that you don't have to play rugby to support SKRUM!
Kate Harvey of SKRUM receives the cheque from John Williams (Director of Sport) and Harry ThorogoodNot content with hosting and competing against the the Swaziland U14 rugby team during a Touraid initiative in 2007, Watford Grammar School for Boys gave another helping hand to the country by raising £800 for SKRUM. The pupils raised the money during a non-uniform day in January. The school also collected rugby kit which was sent over to SKRUM for distribution to the children of Swazliand.
