Following a meeting between Naomi du Pont and a number of women rugby players, today a Facebook page was created just for women's rugby in Swaziland. 'Swaziland Women's Rugby' was launched at the SKRUM offices amid huge smiles from all concerned. "This is perfect timing for the Facebook page. With the Scrumqueens/SKRUM partnership it is a perfect forum for getting the SKRUM and rugby message out to females of all ages within Swaziland" said du Pont.
Women's rugby website Scrumqueens has nominated the SKRUM Programme as its charity of the year for 2012. Scrumqueens.com founder Ali Donnelly said: "We're really pleased to join forces with SKRUM this year, a charity who do some fantastic work through rugby. This project will help contribute invaluable funding to a very worthy cause which also has a strong women's rugby link with lots of schoolgirls being introduced to the game through the SKRUM Programme...
Tuesday January 24th the schools in Swaziland opened their doors for the first term of 2012. The SKRUM Coaches have spent a good part of January planning school visits and SKRUM Coaching days for this first school term. "Everyone is really excited about the new year and what we want to achieve. It is going to be a big year for the SKRUM Programme" said SKRUM CEO Michael Collinson.

The SKRUM coaches are gearing up for the festive season Community Rugby. SKRUM CEO Michael Collinson said "Each year in partnership with the Swaziland Rugby Union we go out into the communities throughout Swaziland and hold Rugby Fun Days. This year will be no different. We will be holding two day coaching sessions at each community starting on Monday December 5th"
