Scrumqueens/SKRUM Programme Partnership

Women's rugby website Scrumqueens has nominated the SKRUM Programme as its charity of the year for 2012. Scrumqueens.com founder Ali Donnelly said: "We're really pleased to join forces with SKRUM this year, a charity who do some fantastic work through rugby. This project will help contribute invaluable funding to a very worthy cause which also has a strong women's rugby link with lots of schoolgirls being introduced to the game through the SKRUM Programme...

We'll be running a variety of fundraising events throughout the year while supporting and encouraging women's teams from around the world to get involved and contribute in any way they can. This is a great opportunity for all women's rugby clubs to get involved in raising money for a fantastic charity and I would encourage as many clubs as possible to get involved"

"Everyone at the SKRUM Programme can not thank Scrumqueens enough for their commitment and support for the SKRUM Programme. The Head Coach at the SKRUM Programme Naomi du Pont will be heading up the SKRUM Women's Rugby and I know she is very excited at the prospect of getting more and more females not only involved in the SKRUM Programme, but also in the game of rugby" said Collinson.

"With the support from Scrumqueens and women's rugby clubs from around the world we can introduce the SKRUM Programme to more females at all age groups throughout Swaziland. The knock on effect is that rugby will become a mass participation sport forall females in the country. And that will be amazing" said du Pont.
