Government Schools open doors for first term of 2010

Government schools within the country opened their doors for the start of the first term in 2010.  Some schools opened yesterday with the majority opening today.  The SKRUM Coaching Team were out introducing the 'new' coach, Naomi du Pont to the head teachers and sports teachers at the schools in and around Ezulwini and Lobamba.

Naomi 'Dups' du Pont.Naomi 'Dups' du Pont.Naomi du Pont or 'Dups' to close friends became the latest coach to join the Rugby Development Team.  Naomi who has been involved with Rugby coaching at her school has now taken the big step and is a fulltime Rugby Development Coach.  SKRUM CEO, Michael Collinson welcomed Naomi to the team and thanked her for her committment to Rugby and the SKRUM Programme.

SKRUM Coach runs in Queen Elizabeth II Baton Relay

Matthew du Pont taking the baton at Queen Elizabeth II Baton RelayMatthew du Pont taking the baton at Queen Elizabeth II Baton RelaySaturday January 16th saw the Queen Elizabeth II Baton Relay arrive in Swaziland.  The Baton is on its way to Delhi for the 2010 Commonwealth Games.  SKRUM Trainee Coach, Matthew du Pont was chosen to represent the Swaziland Rugby Union in the Baton Relay.

Rugby Roadshow, Day 16 in Lobamba

Even the little one's get involved.Even the little one's get involved.The Rugby Roadshow kicked off today at the OlympAfrica Sports Centre in Lobamba.  Twenty seven youngsters turned out to take part in this the penultimate New Years Rugby Roadshow.
